Obituary for C. Paul Williams

C. Paul Williams, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and brother gracefully concluded his earthly journey on December 8, 2023. Paul’s presence was a beacon of love and inspiration to all who were fortunate to have known him. He was born to Pat and Kathryn Williams on November 28, 1943, in Longview, TX. He graduated from Marshall High School. Paul married Linda E. Latham on September 5, 1964, and they spent 59 wonderful years together.

Paul’s entrepreneurial spirit led him on a remarkable path in the oil and gas industry. As a proud owner of the East Texas Swabbing Company, he fearlessly pursued his passions, leaving an indelible mark on his colleagues and the industry. He retired at the age of 36 but his strong work ethic wouldn’t let him stay retired. Paul and Linda loved to travel, and they saw 47 states in their large travel bus before he returned to work as Head of Security for Good Shepherd Hospital and as a Superintendent for Trent Williams Construction. Perhaps his greatest enjoyment came from owning and managing W4 ranch, where they raised cattle and miniature donkeys.

Despite his accomplishments, Paul valued his role as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather above all else. He treasured the beautiful moments shared with his devoted wife, and the love of his life Linda Williams, whose unwavering support and love were the foundation of their lasting bond. He instilled a strong work ethic in his children Paula and Trent and was always proud of his family.

His legacy will forever be remembered and cherished by his family, friends, and all whose lives he touched. Paul’s genuine kindness, infectious laughter, sense of humor and unwavering love for others served as a guiding light that illuminated the lives of many. Paul is survived by his wife Linda, children; daughter Paula D. Bond and partner Kristi King, son Trent Williams and wife Cindy, grandchildren; Zack Bond and wife Rikki, Hannah Bond, Madelene Renfroe and husband Adam, and Jacob Williams, great grandchildren; Beau Brooks Bond, Rebecca Grace Renfroe and soon to come Harrison Michael Renfroe. He is also survived by his sister Kathy Keasler and husband Syd, mother-in-law Alvera Latham, sister-in-law Carolyn Williams, and sister-in-law Diane Doss and husband John, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Pat and Kathryn, brother, Johnny Mike Williams, and father-in-law Monroe Latham.

A memorial service to honor and celebrate Paul’s remarkable journey will be held on December 16, 2023, at 12:00 pm in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home. During this time of reflection and remembrance, we invite family, friends, and acquaintances to come together in a spirit of unity and support for one another.

As we bid farewell to Paul, let us remember the joy and inspiration he brought into our lives. May we find solace in the memories we shared, and may his spirit guide us in seeking fulfillment and spreading love to all those we encounter.
