Ruthie Diane Fields Elliott Obituary
With solemn reverence, we commemorate Ruthie Diane Fields Elliott of Dallas, Texas, born in Marshall, Texas, whose life came to an end on September 9, 2025 at the age of 81, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Opal Inez Fields and James H. Fields; her aunts and uncles, Leo Hightower, Billie Hightower, John Wood, Faye Wood, John T. Ramsey, Ruby Ramsey, Luther Crocker and Anna Lou Crocker; and her cousin David Hightower.
She is survived by: her husband Jim Elliott; her son Ken Elliott; her daughter-in-law Alexandra Elliott; her grandchildren, Carter Elliott and Hayden Elliott; her sister Barbara Hilburn; and her cousins, Barbara Ramsey, Judy Litsenberg, Jane Brinkman, Randy Crocker, Kay Eubanks, Kathy Bratz, Blake Hightower and Johnny Hightower.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 12th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Downs Funeral Home (4608 Elysian Fields Rd, Marshall, TX 75672). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 13th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Algoma North Cemetery (2380 Victory Dr, Marshall, TX 75670). A burial will be held on Saturday, September 13th 2025 at the same location.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in her honor to MD Anderson.
