Services for Nora Clark Hancock, 82, of Marshall, Texas will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, August 17, 2026, at Immanuel Baptist Church in Marshall with Rev. Jeremy Roberts officiating. Interment will follow at Colonial Gardens Cemetery. A visitation for family and friends will be held prior to the service beginning at 1:00 p.m. at the Church.
Nora was born on May 27, 1944, in Marshall, Texas to Leon Perry Clark Sr. and Viola Smith Clark and passed away on August 12, 2026, in Marshall, Texas.
She married Cecil W. “Buddy” Hancock on May 27, 1962, and they remained married until his passing in 2024. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church for 50 plus years, where she served as a Sunday School Teacher and taught Bible School. She was a Blue Bird, Campfire and Cub Scout Leader over the years. She was also the Dugout mom for teams that Buddy coached. She also loved to fish and hunt. Most of all she loved her family and will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leon and Viola Clark; husband, Cecil “Buddy” Hancock; son, Lonnie Wayne Hancock; daughter, Lisa Lyn Hancock; brothers, Calvin L. Clark and Leon P. Clark Jr. and sister, Reba Kae Clark.
She is survived by her grandson, Brandon James Hancock (Heather) and great granddaughter, Sutton Hancock; brothers, Gene Clark (Carolyn) and David “Dub” Clark (Judie); all of Marshall, Texas and sister, Glenda Roberts along with her sister-in-law, Barbara Riddle and niece, JoAnn McCrary and husband, James and other family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in her honor to Immanuel Baptist Church.
