Paul passed away peacefully on April 22, 2021 after a brief diagnosis of Cancer. Paul was blessed with the presence of his family members throughout his diagnosis and hospice care.

Beloved husband to the late Ann Jones Kelly. The love they shared was remarkable.

Paul was born to Winnie and Paul A. Kelly on January 7, 1945.

Paul graduated from the University of Texas at Austin earning a BS with Honors in Physics and Math. Paul was a passionate computer scientist and began his career at NASA. Paul continued his career in Computer Engineering for Schlumberger, an oil field services company, for over 35 years. Paul had computers in his home before computers were a part of our daily lives.

Paul met his wife, Ann, at Marshall high school. They were married for 55 years and went on to have 2 children, Paul (Beeper) Kelly and Kristin Clark.
Paul has 6 grandchildren, Maddison Clark-J.D., Alexis Clark, William Clark III, Paul C. Kelly, Elizabeth Kelly and the late Kendall Clark.
Paul’s son in law, Bill Clark and daughter in law Amy Kelly are both very loved by him.

In addition to being a dedicated and loving father and Pappy, Paul also loved reading, computer programming, astronomy and ham radio communication. Paul was a member of St. Peter’s UMC in Katy, Texas. Paul’s faith was shared over the years when he helped lead youth group.

Paul’s passion for science continues in his death by his decision to donate his body for research to his beloved University of Texas Medical School.

Paul joins his adored wife Ann, his parents and granddaughter Kendall in Heaven. The reunion in Heaven gives our family great hope in our grief. God is ever present in our journey. Everlasting life is a gift.

Due to Covid-19 concerns, the family held a private gathering.

So sorry for the family of Ann & Paul & their losses.  I remember Paul as one of the nicest guys in our class of 1962.  Paul was smart, quiet & had a great smile.  Mostly, I remember how he adored Ann.  Thinking of you all during this time.
