William Knight Hester (Bill) was born on December 31, 1943 and passed away on Thursday, March 1, 2018. 
Bill was born in Marshall, Texas and was a resident of Marshall at the time of his passing.  He graduated from Fort Stockton High School in Fort Stockton, Texas.  Bill later proudly served in the United States Air Force alongside of his beloved brother Bob Hester in London, England. He was a dedicated employee of Temsco of Marshall for many years and ended his sales career with Commercial Power Equipment in Shreveport, Louisiana.  
Bill loved his family.  He was preceded in death by his father Galen Hester and his brother Bob Hester. 
Survivors include his loving mother, Betty Hester and sister, Betsy Halliday of Maryville, Tennessee; sister, Linda and brother-in-law Bill McMunn of Ormond Beach, Florida; nephew, Martin Jackson and niece, Lauri Jackson, also of Ormond Beach; sister-in-law, Vicki Hester, of Marshall; and cousins, Becky Williams of Morgan City, Louisiana, and JoAnn Ryan, of Berwick, Louisiana. 
The family will receive friends at Downs Funeral Home, Marshall, Texas, from 12:30 to 1:45 PM on Saturday, March 10, 2018, and funeral services to follow at 2:00.
